Yes everything stays the same. You won’t be able to do any Romance interactions unless you have mods that allow that. Last night I was playing and noticed that the male of my teen couple aged up. I was playing the girl to age her up and I get a request from the guy for a date.

Re: Retired sim not available to socialize and complete events. Fully retired Sims aren’t available for socializing. You can only socialize with them when they still live in the house.
