To adopt a child, have any Young Adult, Adult, or Elder Sim interact with their cell phone. Navigate to the third tab (the one with the house icon), then select the “Hire a Service” option. They’re initially sorted by age, and Sims can adopt Babies, Toddlers, or Children. Teenagers cannot be adopted.
Why can’t teens adopt Sims 4?
No, you can only adopt NPCs from a pool given by the game. You are able to adopt teens but you’ll need to rename them, maybe alter them in CAS afterwards with the edit in cas cheat so they can look like you wanted them to but you can’t adopt existing Sims you made.
