sims 3 with or without its expansion will require the same hardware specs . so if you can run the sims 3 standalone fine then you can run it with all of its expansions . just make sure to run the game with the right expansion to avoid crashing .

However, in oprder to do so you must own the base Sims 3 game on STEAM in order to view the CD Key and purchase it. I had it and play it on Origin as well, this game just works better there IMHO.

You can’t register a game that has already been registered (and chances are high that this is the case if you bought it second hand). If it’s the older version, you should still be able to play though, just not register.

If you do own the base game here though, you CAN buy the expansions and register them on origin. For the price off what the base game costs and what you save if you buy a few expansions via the sale you actually save a lot more and OFCOURSE allows you to buy future cheap expansions as and when they become avalible.
