To be able to install and run your game without any Origin involvement, you’d not only need a disc copy of each pack, but you’d need a base game disc manufactured before September 2012; the newer ones require Origin to manage their installs.

TS3 doesn’t have game packs, or at least we don’t call them that. Regardless though, if the discs were new when you purchased them, they should have each come with a code that allows you to perform an Origin install instead of using the discs at no extra charge.
Is there a DVD drive for Sims 3?
By running the latest-released expansion pack or stuff pack as an Origin digital download, no DVD disc will be required to launch into the game. Hello! I have Sims 3 and several expansion packs (Into The Future, Island Paradise, World Adventures, Generations, Seasons, Showtime, Supernatural and University Life) in Disk Form. I got a new laptop without a disk drive, and I really want to play Sims.
