You can’t. If you want a bigger lot, best you can do is place the bigger lot, move the house to it, delete the old lot, and then move the bigger lot to the original location (if you want to stay in the same place, and assuming there is enough routable terrain for the bigger lot to fit).

Thanks but what i am referring to is have a home filled with full households or they can increase their lot with marriages or children. I can do the lock door thing but if the lot has 8 sims already whether related or not then there is no further growth within the individual homes – sims will have to move out.
