The game won’t allow it, as the aging Sim has to do that spin around and then depending on the age you have to select additional traits. With a wedding you don’t have that, per se. Give it a try, what do you have to lose?

The name of sims when they are married don’t automatically change when they get married. You need to go to Manage Households, and take the sims household into CAS to edit their names after they get married. Ah ok thank you. Used to the previous sims games where it did change automatically.
