What’s the difference between Sims 2 and 3?

No CASt, no open world, no life stage editing, no story progression, etc.. In 2 it’s load screen after load screen and I don’t even have my sims go out because it “freezes” time. You can’t decide on some accessories and one pet peeve is that there’s no way to brush their teeth or set makeup for different outfits.
