If you still have your game keys you can an EA Game Advisor to add the game to your Origin account and then play without disc. As Sims 2 is an older game you’ll have to contact an EA Game Advisor to have it added to your Origin account.

Turn on your internet connection and go back to Windows Update and check for updates. This update will appear (on a list?), right click on this update to hide.
