Claiming Territory
- Mark and Place Scent Posts. To claim an unclaimed hex as your territory, create a scent post by marking (urinating on) the same spot twice with the ‘P’ key.
- Howl, Hunt, Fight, or Hang Out.
- Take Over Territory.
- Maintain a Strong (but not too Strong) Territory.
- Establish Territory Quest Complete!
Are there pups in WolfQuest Anniversary Edition?
Maintaining a strong territory will discourage rival wolves but not eliminate their forays into your territory. Your pups are safe when they are in your den. Currently, there are no stranger wolf dens or pups to be found in the game.
What happens if you kill a wolf in WolfQuest?
Unlike some animals, your new mate would happily raise your current pups with you (rather than kill them). There are no NPC mates in multiplayer. In the single player Amethyst Mountain episode, you will choose another friendly dispersal wolf to be your mate.
Where do the pups go at the end of WolfQuest?
At the end, you, your mate, and your surviving pups must make a journey for the summer den in the Douglas fir forests. But the player, the player’s mate, and pups will run into grizzlies, coyotes, eagles and drowning. The only way pups can get across the river is by finding a shallow sandbar.
What do you do in single player WolfQuest?
In single player, the player must survive as a dispersal gray wolf in Yellowstone National Park. To do so they must hunt elk, moose, and hares, or feed off elk carcasses. They must also avoid dangers such as grizzly bears, cougars, and non-dispersal wolves.
What happens if you lose control of a territory?
If your alliance loses control of the Territory in the future, your base won’t be kicked out of the system. Your station remains there, but you won’t be able to activate peace shields. Alliance leaders can activate Services for Alliance members. Services are buffs granted to all members of the Alliance.

How does a mate work in WolfQuest 3?
Mates will echo the player’s howl (primary or secondary), and will mark territory when the player does. Mates may also howl of their own accord, and players can howl back to increase pack affinity. If a mate stays back at the den while the player is out hunting, pack affinity will drop much slower while the player is out.
What causes a wolf to die in Slough Creek?
Conflicts between packs are common and, within the park, are the leading cause of death for a wild wolf. As a lone wolf or with your new mate, you need to respect rival pack territories or pay the price. You can see where your rivals roam on the map. Later, in Slough Creek, you and your mate establish and maintain your own territory.
What are the emotes for Wolves in WolfQuest?
Mates will make use of the emotes, including the confident tail position after a successful hunt or fight, playful emotes towards the player, and growls at other animals. NPC wolves seem to flee more quickly from some mates than others – this may be influenced by the mates personalities and/or the NPC wolves personalities.
