As far as the Sims 3 goes I do not really see much difference between the YA’s and the Adults. They can all get married, have children, etc. The only difference I have heard is that the YA’s are more fertile. And YA’s and Adults CAN get married and have children. In fact, a YA and an elder can have children as long as the YA is the female.
