Can you use the Motherlode cheat to buy a house?
Move your family to a lot and then use the motherlode cheat. I have not had problems doing it this way. As far as I’ve been able to tell the money cheat will not work in the hood before you buy a house. I tried that as well to give my sim a better house but it wouldn’t allow it. It only let me do it once I already moved into a house.
