- With an online-capable game inserted into your Nintendo DS, turn on your system and access the game’s main menu.

Nintendo has announced that it will be closing its Wii and DS online servers as of 20th May. Stopping the ‘Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection’ service will remove online multiplayer functionality from a large number of AAA games titles. Wii U and 3DS software will remain unaffected due to their use of the Nintendo Network.
Can you watch YouTube on DS Lite?
Accounts that are logged into the YouTube app can be accessed via any Nintendo account on the device. You can use the left joystick or the D-pad on any connected controller to navigate YouTube. Swiping gestures currently aren’t supported in the YouTube app.
What can you do with DS Lite?
Like the first Nintendo DS, the Nintendo DS Lite can access Wi-Fi hotspots and support games that have an online multiplayer option. DS game demos can be downloaded at stores that feature a DS Download Station. Several DS owners can also compete with each other locally with the Nintendo DS’s wireless link-up.
