How to install

  1. Download the playable pets mod.
  2. Put the file in this folder: Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods.
  3. Go into the Game Options menu, click other and make sure you enabled Custom Content and Mods but also Script Mods Allowed.
  4. Restart the game when you change any of these settings.

Do pets in The Sims 4 die?

Pets can only die of old age in The Sims 4: Cats & Dogs. Sims can serve a deceased pet an Ambrosia treat to resurrect them. Like Sims, if a pet’s tombstone isn’t visited often, their spirit will begin to fade away and will eventually cease to exist.
