Merge Household in Sims 4
- In world/town view in your game-save, open “Manage Households”:
- Select the household that you want to merge into (from either the “My Households” tab or the “Other Households” tab).
- In the household’s pop-up, select “Transfer Sims between Households” (‘two arrows’ icon):
Can I add a SIM to a family from another household?
Yeah you can, as you enter from the main menu click on the household you wish to add a sim to, click more and at the bottom there will be a “manage household” option.
How do I control two Sims from different households?
To switch households in your game, click on the Options button (… in the upper right corner). Choose Manage Households. You’ll be asked if you want to Save and go to Manage Households, or just go to Manage Households. I always choose to save, but your progress will be saved as long as you save before exiting.
Can Sims visit other towns?
You could travel with your sim to any world you have installed, change the sim’s hometown, and play forward from there, while the original family remains intact in the previous town.
How do you combine two families in Sims 3?
Find the family you want to combine with the family you’re playing and click on “Make Copy” It now makes a copy of that sim that you can add to any house. Drag it to the house you would like to combine it with, and BAM!
How do you transfer Sims from one household to another in Sims 4?
You’ll need the Transfer Sims between Households option (icon with 2 opposite arrows). From that option panel, you can move out Sims from that Household or move in Sims from other Households. You can also start brand new Households by clicking on a Sim on the left side and selecting ”Create New Household” (icon with a Sim standing by a plus).

There’s also an option to move out an entire Household and Merge it with another Household. After you move all Sims from the left side to the right side, you’ll get an option asking you if you want to sell the furniture from the left side’s Household and transfer it to the merged Household.

If you click on an empty house the top icon says something like “create household to move in” click on that and then create the household or select on from the gallery and the when you click the check mark it brings you to the neighborhood again.

Click on a Household you want to edit. An information panel about that Household will pop up and you’ll get 4 options on the bottom right corner: Edit Household in CAS, Move Household into a Lot, Transfer Sims between Households, and Delete Households.
