Don’t want to use that solution, use the show hidden objects cheat and buy garlic braids, wreaths, etc., and hang them through the house. Use lots of the garlic items, it will make the vampires unable to bite your sims.

Once your Sim and the Grand Vampire are on good terms, the Grand Vampire may autonomously bite your Sim, turning them into a vampire almost immediately. Once the Grand Vampire has bitten your Sim, they will autonomously begin biting other Sims on the lot, even if you’re not playing those Sims.
