What happened Bookworm Adventures?
One of my favourite ever games, released during the peak of PopCap’s glory days, is simply gone. Not just no longer on sale, but seemingly erased from history, from the current timeline. Bookworm Adventures (and it’s sequel), the adorable word-spelling combat game, has been Shazammed right out of existence.
Can you still get bookworm?
Is Bookworm still available? This game, together with its sequels, has been removed from most sale platforms. As a result, digital copies are no longer available, although second-hand copies of discs or Nintendo DS cartridges are still available on the secondary market.
What happened to PopCap?
PopCap was sold to EA a couple of years ago. EA now owns the Plants VS Zombies property, and the Peggle and Bejeweled properties as well. EA now continues to make their games, but with more microtransactions.

Both Lex and his adversary have health meters (represented by a number of hearts), which, when depleted, signal defeat. However, unlike more traditional role-playing games where players might injure their opponents with arms or magic, enemies in Bookworm Adventures are damaged by forming words.
