The final ending achieved by the player will depend on the actions throughout Chuck Greene’s journey in Fortune City . Ending S is considered to be the true ending, as confirmed by Capcom at E3 2013 [ citation needed] .
How does Ed die in the end of Dead Rising?
In Ending F, the entire chart will be faded out, as everyone either perished from the explosion or were overrun by zombies. He either dies or is stranded in Willamette in Endings C and E after Ed leaves him behind/gets killed by a zombie. He is likely executed or captured by the Special Forces in Ending D.

There is no record of any shelter dwellers having made it out of the city alive. Chuck Greene was reportedly captured by the military early in the operation, but no proof of this was ever found. The incident came to be known as the “Greene Outbreak”.
