This is how they protect their games from piracy. 1) backup the entire My Documents/EA Games\The Sims 2 folder someplace safe. This has all your saved games and neighborhoods. 2) Uninstall ALL Sims2 games in reversed order installed.. all the way back down to the original.
Why was The Sims 2 released on Steam?
By way of compensation, they offered to upgrade digital copies of the game to its Ultimate Collection, which includes every one of the game’s expansions and Stuff Packs. Problem was, The Sims 2 was released just a year after we were grudgingly introduced to Steam via Half-Life 2 – hardly the golden age of digital distribution.
What can I buy for the Sims 2?
Buy Bundles to get more for your money. There were several Sims 2 bundles released that include expansions and/or stuff packs with the base game. Double Deluxe, University Life Collection and Best of Business Collection are some examples. Don’t buy “downloads” of The Sims 2. Digital versions do not exist. Look for good quality used discs.
Is the Sims 2 compatible with Windows 10?
To the Microsoft reps: I have ALL of the expansion packs. Tried the Sims 3 and 4, but am perfectly happy with 2. Is there anyway of fixing the compatibility issue with this?
