The longer (more technical) answer is: We designed The Sims 4 to use less than 4GB of memory, so in most cases there’s no difference between the 32-bit and the 64-bit versions of the game. However (we’re sorry, but there is a however), there are times when the game may use more than the 4GB.;

What happens to unplayed Sims when they become service Sims?
Unplayed sims’ phone skin may get set to default. Unplayed toddlers’, children’s, and teens’ character values may go back to neutral (spot where they started off). While unplayed sims won’t lose skills, they may suddenly become a master in one when they become a service sim.
