The NVMe SSDs achieve much higher throughput than SATA, but this isn’t used as much when loading WoW assets. Slow HDD will give long load times and then optionally some more time to load all missing assets, like even your UI icons. This can get annoying and that’s why Blizzard recommended an SSD officially.

Which is drive to install Wow on, etc?
My C-Drive has about 50 GB free out of 75 GB. And I think only really Windows 7 installed on there. D-drive has 208/232 free and only has some other games and stuff installed on there; D-drive is also the drive where I got help setting a page file up on it.
