Yes you need to get their romantic relationship higher and your sim will have an option to ask them to leave their partner. Actually, asking other sim to break up can be done at any relationship level.

How to break up a relationship in Sims 4?

It is located under Mean category under Other sims… and requires Get Together expansion pack. If player doesn’t own The Sims 4 Get Together, it is still possible by asking the sim to move in and then having him/her break up with other sim.

Can a Sim still be in love after a divorce?

Yes, it can be done. It took a lot of courting on my Sim’s part, though, because I guess the object of his affection had a really strong relationship with her spouse. Some time has passed and they’ve had their first child, but she sometimes still gets sad because of the divorce.

Can You Leave your spouse in the Sims?
