Why is my Sims 2 not using DirectX?
Every time I try to start Sims 2 on my laptop I get an error saying “Failed to find a Direct X 9.0c compatible graphics adapter”. I am pretty sure I did everything right, I updated my drivers and OS.

If you intend to play the Sims 2. I agree with RebeccaKemp: it is not compatible with Windows 10 For those of use whom spent an incredible about of time and money on the Sims 2 and all of the expansion packs, building families and communities, Windows 10 unfortunately will not allow game play.
