If you have cc/mods in your game, move your whole mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and see if the issues are still there. Repairing the game may help. To do that, go to games library in Origin, right click on the sims 4 picture and click repair

Why is my mod button not working on Sims 4?
So I’ve tried to use Custom Content before, and it worked but that was with the Sims 4 Create a Sim Demo, but now I actually have the game my custom content won’t work.

My Sim, a level 6 in Film (Acting branch) is a stubborn so-and-so and is refusing to go to work. I’ve clicked the Go to Work button in the Careers panel, clicked on the location itself, saved and quit and gone back into my game, and guess what, it didn’t work!
