First of all, the Sims world is not OUR universe and is therefor different than ours both cultural and technological. But The Sims 2 is set in 2004. The Sims 1 is set 25 year before that, which is 1979.

However for some reason I can only install 1 expansion pack. When I go and try and install another one, the game automatically uninstall any other expansions. Double Deluxe and EPs after H&M Stuff pack came with the Launcher, it is infamous for uninstalling other packs. It’s why most of us never use the launcher since BV in TS2.

You can check the box under Compatibility mode and choose your preferred version of Windows from the pull-down menu. Select to run the game in compatibility mode with Windows XP Service Pack 3. I would also recommend checking the box beside “Run this program as an administrator.”

It is most likely because it was uninstalled improperly. Below are steps to install the Sims 2 manually, which I got from EA’s response to this problem, which I also had. But after I did each of these things correctly, everything’s working fine. It installed correctly. Here are the steps!!! : Double-click My Computer.
