There are three ways to find dens:
- By sight, looking for snow/dirt mounds and nooks under tree roots or rocks.
- Follow the den icon on your compass (see below)
- Use scent view. Dens emit scents (floating den icon) which float downwind like other scents, so you can track these back to the source to find the den.
What do you do in Slough Creek WolfQuest?
In Slough Creek, establish a den and territory, raise pups, and embark on a perilous journey to a summering site. (Slough Creek multiplayer is currently only available in WolfQuest 2.7 but is coming soon to Anniversary Edition.)
Are there any new episodes of WolfQuest coming out?
As of January 2021, we have released two episodes: Amethyst Mountain and Slough Creek, as well as the Lost River Classic map, for PC/Mac on Steam and itch.io, as Early Access. While in Early Access, we are updating the game frequently with more features and multiplayer (available now for Amethyst Mountain and coming soon for Slough Creek).
Where do you start your quest in WolfQuest?
Your quest begins on the slopes of Amethyst Mountain and eventually takes you across the Lamar Valley to Slough Creek. There, you and your mate must establish a territory and raise a litter of pups: training them, feeding them, defending them against predators, and finally taking them on a cross-country journey to a summer home.
Why is the bite sound not playing in Slough Creek?
Some animations during wolf – beaver hunt are not synced in multiplayer. In Slough Creek, distant animal sounds sometimes don’t play properly. In Den/In Grass label is sometimes incorrect or inconsistent. Den status label persists in pup names sometimes. Bite sound effect keeps playing after releasing bite.
You and your mate arrive in Slough Creek. Most of this area is as yet unclaimed by other packs, so explore and find a good den site. Now establish a territory for your pack! Start marking around your den (with raised leg urination, howling, and simply presence), then move outward to expand your territory.
Do you need to dig a new den in WolfQuest?
Now that you have explored Slough Creek and established your pack’s territory, it is time to choose a good den site to have your first litter of pups. There’s no need to dig a new den for yourself, as there are plenty of abandoned burrows made by coyotes, foxes, badgers, and ground squirrels that just need to be expanded for your needs.
Where to go in WolfQuest 2.7 early access?
Travel north to find unoccupied turf. Note: Until Slough Creek map/episode is available for WolfQuest Anniverary Edition, Early Access for PC and Mac, this is where the story is paused. If you are playing WolfQuest 2.7, you can proceed to Slough Creek once you have found mate. Life gets easier once you have a partner!
When is the best time to move to Slough Creek?
Your pups have outgrown the den, so it’s time to move to a summer home closer to the elk herds that have migrated up Slough Creek’s slopes. Traveling with pups can be perilous. Predators are lurking. There may be swift waters to cross. Pups do their best to keep up as you lead them to summer rendezvous site.
