Long jump the next gap then wall jump and triple jump your way to the top to reach the Power Star. This is as simple as it sounds. You will need to collect 100 Coins in Cool, Cool Mountain, at which point the Power Star will appear wherever you secure the final Coin.

How do you get power star in Cool, Cool Mountain?
Perform a back jump onto the platform (otherwise it’s difficult to stop sliding) and step on the star switch that’s next to the buddy bob-omb. Quickly jump off the platform back towards the mama penguin and use the gust of wind to fly over to the small frozen pond. Perform a ground pound on the pond to shatter it and collect the power star.
Where is the entrance to cool cool mountain?
The entrance to the level is behind the door to the left of the first floor of the Mushroom Castle, near the room with the entrance to Bob-omb Battlefield. Three Power Stars are needed to unlock this door, and the center painting will take the player to Cool, Cool Mountain, with the other two simply being decoration.
