I’ve looked up which is better and I’ve read so many different answers “sims3pack is terrible!” “package files can be organized better!” “sims 3 pack clogs your game!” “package files cause issues in your game!” “package files are better!” “sims 3 packs are better!” “there’s no difference between the two!” YIKES!!

Any that are present are more like a stray ant that got lost and is walking through your kitchen looking for the way out, while TS4 is like a Florida swamp. Not to say there were never issues, but the devs were very quick to fix things, both directly and in updates included in following packs.

Minus – A number of annoying issues from Sims 1 are still present in Sims 2. – Sims still cancel a task to complain that they want to do that task. (eg. most commonly: you tell a sim to go to bed and they cancel the task to tell you how tired they are!)

They are completely separate games, the Sims 3 Pets is a stand-alone game and not an expansion pack. There are no expansion packs, Sims store items, or real DLC for either one. Game saves and Sims will not transfer between the two of them.
