Yes, you absolutely can, if you have an Iso ripper, and extract the ISO, insert content, repackage the iso. You can also mod ROMs. Matter of fact, I’ve modded several of the original sonic games, and know people who have modded mario games. Roms have files in them.

It depends on the circumstances, but no, it’s highly doubtful you would go to jail for torrenting. Most lawsuits regarding torrenting are civil suits, not criminal ones, so if a penalty is levied, it’s usually a fine or some other monetary compensation.

Emuparadise itself is safe, but they host user uploaded files, meaning that there’s no way of knowing. Best thing you can do is run a quick backup before you start downloading files. There’s free tools like Rollback Rx which are easy to use and can restore your system if you do get infected.
