Thing is I need to use the virtual drive, as my laptop has no disc drive. I have tried using the SecuRom removal tool and it failed too. I have run in compatibility for Win7 and XP SP2. its worth noting that the properties window for the game itself won’t let me change compatibility directly, i have to use the compatibility troubleshooter.
Is there a no CD crack for Sims 2?
I run windows 10 basic, have nvidia graphics card, 16 gb ram. i used a built in analysis thing, that says to send a file to securom support. I was told i need a no-cd crack to make it work, but the only ones i can find register as having trojan viruses.

If you have a lot of mods/cc, use the 50/50 method. Put half of your mods/cc into the mods folder then start the game and see if the issue is still there. If the issue is not there, then you know that those items work okay with the game. Then you can test the other half of your cc/mods.
Why is my Sims 1 game not opening?

I always play offline, but, for some reason, I have to start the game with my internet connection on. Otherwise, the game opens choppy and lagging for some reason. But if I open the game with the Internet on, to the point where I can either play game or go into CAS, then it works fine.
