Ever since Korra went off the air in 2014 there hasn’t been a new Avatar series on our screens. The live-action Netflix series is still in the works but after the departure of original ATLA creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko fans haven’t been as excited for it.
How did Avatar Korra die?
Korra was poisoned in order to activate the Avatar State so the Red Lotus could end the Avatar Cycle. With the Avatar State, Korra was able to hold her own against Zaheer, even force him on the defense, though she could not keep up battling both him and the poison, eventually succumbing to its effect.
What will be the next Avatar?
Cameron added: “The day we deliver Avatar 2, we’ll just start working on finishing Avatar 3.” There will be a three-year break for the following entry, as Avatar 4 is currently due to arrive on 19th December 2026, while the fifth movie will launch on 17th December 2028.
Will there be another Avatar Series 2020?
The new series will join the two existing Avatar animated series, Nickelodeon’s 2005 Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, which have reached a new generation of young fans through streaming on Netflix.

Korra’s final season didn’t even get to air on TV — halfway through season three, just when many fans believed the show was at its creative peak, Nickelodeon pulled it from its TV schedule, citing declining ratings. She also said that from her perspective, she saw only support from Nickelodeon.

Korra and Mako do get together, but they don’t end up together. The two have a confrontation, where he confesses to being torn in his feelings between Korra and Asami. The former gives him a passionate kiss, which he returns. However, they are interrupted by Bolin, who’s heartbroken.
Did Korra kill Unalaq?
Death. Dark Avatar Unalaq was defeated by Korra’s astral projection. After Korra utilized the energy from the Tree of Time, her spirit transformed into a massive being of light, which departed into the material world to fight Unalaq.
Is Gyatso a Momo?
Aang first discovered Momo in Season 1, after visiting the Southern Air Temple, and the two became inseparable after that. Reddit user PM_ME_SOME_ANY_THING argues Momo is the reincarnated form of Monk Gyatso, Avatar Aang’s previous guardian and mentor.
